THE DESIGN PROCESS
Consultation +
Site Visit
We'll start your project with a quick video call to discuss your goals for the project so I can provide an estimate. Once this is approved, I also usually walk through the property before beginning the design process to truly understand your needs and expectations for the space before giving a project quote.
Design
Finalization
After you're had a chance to get better acquainted with the furniture and decor within your design concept through samples & swatches, any necessary adjustments are made before your design details are finalized.
Initial
Concepts
After getting to know you and your home, KMCC Design Co. will begin crafting a bespoke design concept that fits your functional needs and style preferences. Sharing some of our progress along the way, we will adjust initial concepts until we land on something just right for you and your home!
Procurement
A flexible process that allows you to have options - order yourself from the detailed shopping list or have KMCC take over and handle the often stressful processes of ordering, shipping & scheduling deliveries - so you can be more hands free.
Site Visit
for Samples
We will gather and provide the available samples of the fabrics and materials from your design selections. During this site visit, you can touch and feel the textiles you're deciding between and will eventually be living with every day to make sure they're all right for you, your family and your lifestyle!
Installation +
Styling Visit
Some of our favorite days - watching all the decisions come together! Once everything has come in, we will come and arrange & style everything to be like the envisioned design, answering any questions you have have along the way.
DELIVERABLES
Moodboard
A virtual moodboard with paint colors, textiles, materials, etc. in addition to a few key selections to ensure we're on the right track!
Space Plan
A floor plan that focuses on improving flow and functionality of the space. Sometimes there's flexibility and layout options are provided.
Design Concept
A design concept including furniture, decor, lighting and window treatment selections with all the details and links for you to explore.
Procurement
(Self Service or KMCC)
A flexible process that allows you to have options - order yourself from the detailed shopping list or have KMCC take over to handle the often stressful processes of ordering + shipping so that you can sit back & just watch your space come together with every deliver!
*Designer Discounts may apply when utilizing the KMCC Procurement service.*
Installation + Styling
Once everything has come in, we will have either a full installation day with helpers on site or a simple styling day where KMCC comes in to give styling tips and show the best ways to utilize the space in the terms of design and decoration.
